If I am being sick all of the time, how will my baby grow?

Morning sickness causes

It is only a concern if you’re being so sick that you can’t keep any food or water down. Your baby will take in the nutrients it requires from your body, so it’s you that suffers.

To keep up your strength, eat little and often and don’t eat big meals. Try eating healthy snacks such as sandwiches and fruit and not fatty foods like crisps. Staying hydrated is essential.

Keep a glass of water next to you and take regular sips.

Check our frequently asked questions, right, for advice on morning sickness during pregnancy (NVP). If you have any concerns, see your GP.
